Description The Johor Bahru zoo is one of the oldest in the country. It was built in 1928 by Sultan Sir Ibrahim and was handed over to the state government to manage in the 1960s and open to the public in 1962. Getting There The Johor Bahru zoo is located at Jalan Gertak Merah. From the city centre, you can catch a taxi to get to the zoo which is situated close to the Johor Bahru Palace Grouds and Royal Museum.
