The Malaysian Youth Museum was officially declared open by Y.A.B Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the Prime Minister of Malaysia on April 15, 1992.

Housed in the former General Post Office, this museum is dedicated to the contribution made by the youth in the country economically and socially. The noble efforts evident at regional, national and international levels are displayed at the museum.

This museum is located at 430, Jalan Laksamana. The museum houses and exhibits documents, information and paraphernalia related to local and international activities of various Malaysian youth organisations.

Photographs of past and present youth leaders, uniforms worn by members, awards and trophies received, and handicrafts made by members of youth organisations and youth co-operatives are all displayed at the museum. Getting There Melaka is easily accessible by roads. From Kuala Lumpur, you can take express buses to Melaka at Puduraya Bus Station. The two and half hour journey will cost you around RM7.90. This place is located right in the heart of Malacca town, a short trishaw ride from the Malacca bus terminal. It is also accessible on foot as it is located quite near other tourist locations.
